Learn how to wash your car like a professional

When done efficiently, washing your car takes less time and gives better results. Follow these steps to get the job done quickly and effectively!

  1. Tidy the Interior
Start by removing items that don't belong in the car and dispose of the rubbish.

  2. Vacuum the mats
Beat the mats to remove the dirt, place them on the ground and then clean with a vacuum cleaner.

  3. Cracks and crevices
Rub a clean toothbrush along the central console and door panels to dislodge debris and then use a vacuum cleaner.

  4. Vacuum the floor and upholstery
With the seats fully moved forward, vacuum the area beneath them from the back seat. Move the seats back and vacuum the front floor. Finally, recline the seats to reach as far as possible into the crevices and vacuum any remaining dirt.

  5. Clean the Dashboard and Upholstery
Using a microfibre cleaning cloth, wipe the dashboard, central console, steering wheel, door handles, cup holders and side panels. Apply a product specifically for cars such as CARCLEAN TABLIERS. Then spray the upholstery with a suitable product such as CARCLEAN FABRIC and wipe with a damp cloth.

  6. Windows
Apply a non-drip glass product and wipe with a microfibre cloth. Work in an “S” motion horizontally on the inside and then use a vertical “S” motion on the outside.

  7. External Hose
Hose down the whole car, paying special attention to the tyres (and the panels behind them), where debris and dust accumulate.

  8. Lather and Scrub
Fill two 2-litre buckets with water. To one, add a car-specific shampoo, such as CARCLEAN WASH. With a glove or sponge, apply the solution generously over the exterior, rinsing the glove periodically in the bucket of clean water to avoid scratching the finish with debris.
Working from top to bottom, wash the exterior in this order, rinsing after each: roof, bonnet and rear, upper part of each side and then lower part of each side.

  9. Tyres and Wheels
Using a second glove or sponge, clean the tyres (the rubber part) and the wheels (the metal or alloy rims). You may also need a circular brush to reach less accessible spots.

  10. Rinse the exterior
With the hose, rinse the car well and dry immediately with a chamois or cotton cloth, making circular movements from top to bottom.

  11. Wax
When the car is completely dry, apply wax to add a shiny protective layer. Use a clean cloth and follow the instructions on the label.

  12. Tyre Shine
To restore the shine of your car's tyres and other plastics, apply a shine product such as CARCLEAN SHINE. It not only restores the natural shine but also prevents ageing.
